Implementations and Incarnations
For evaluation, an expression of a programming language must be unified with an evaluation system.
We also call this evaluation system an implementation (realization) of the programming language
The connection of the expression with the execution system is an incarnation (becoming flesh) of the expression.
So, if you say “Avis” and then birds do not appear, you might only be missing an implementation of your spell language, that is, an incarnation of your spell!
